Will the new graphics in 2.012 fix the NVidia / IL2BOX 780ti Crash?

As the title says.

I though they did add a fix for that recently. Read through the Dev posts.

I think by 2.012 the devs just need to increase the games minimum supported system requirements
to GTX 950 or better and be done with all the headaches of low end cards.

Yes lets make the cut off a 1070.

No, but it is a card that even you will replace for a 1080. ;)

No reason yet - I have stable 60fps with everything maxed and ultra settings.

I believe the problem will be solved eventually.

Ok then this sim will have 100 users, I personally do nt care that much, I would not upgrade to a new rig just for one game. But I think a lot of people that actually use this sim would vanished. So please do

That was my point.

It's definitely not low end, but it's pretty old, especially in the tech/consumer electronics world. The GTX 780 launched on May 2013.

2013? You know... for the average 10 year old WT player, that's actually half his life. The entire part about which he has memories. "All my life, I've been gaming with that card!"

I was really sad when I had to replace my "Diamond Stealth 64" with 2 MB (should suffice for anyone) VRAM (V, not D!) and its blazingly fast Tseng Labs GP... uhm, chip. But I did it.

My granddaughter is 10 years old and she likes my GTX 780 although she doesn't play WT :-D

She must be doing double precision CUDA computations then. No wonder she likes that card. A prodigy. Congrats!

My boys are about half that age and are more into blowing up stuff. They like BoX and further shorten the life of my Saiteks...

Well I paid $3000 for my two "low end" GTX Titan Blacks 2 years ago, so it hurt a little when I had to drop another $1300 for a 1080Ti to meet your standards.

At least one reason this sucked was that I was getting 80-120FPS with my SLI Titans on every other AAA title I played when BoX shat itself all over my cards.

The last thing they want to do over at NVidia is caring for for an EOL product. Don't be surprised if "things happen" when you keep them for a long time.

The art in sourcing todays electronic parts is not being able to afford them, but being able to throw them away when they had their time. In the case of the 780 Titans, they are definitely a keeper as there is hardly anything out there today coming even close to their double precision computing power, should you care for CUDA. And this is likely to stay that way for some time, as double precision takes away a lot of die space.

It is imoral, yes, but another way of planned obsolecsence in our world. The recommendation for using older driver just proves how much testing there is at NVidia with the 780 series when they release a new driver. If they break something with new functions in new cards, bummer. But it is your problem, not theirs. SO SAD, as they say today. :(

With latest drivers and game updates, the "dxbufferman" error occurs, crashing the game.

With older drivers, the game is no longer playable with very slow FPS rates.

Give the 353.62 drivers a try! I'm a 780 user myself and have been suffering with crashes since 2.011 broke the 368.81 'fix'.

Even for a 2 year old driver version, nvidia did something right hahaha! I've been able to fly without any crashes whatsoever, SP and MP.

And no, the 780 is not a low end card, come on people, be reasonable.

This driver version worked!
