I'm getting an error - Missing mfc140u.dll.

I feel like I should know how to fix this, but drawing a blank and don't see anything in the FAQ.

Oh, was that a C++ error?

If so then I can fix with the 3rd party software contained in the game directory yes?

Well that didn't work.

Hi Gambit, I had the same issue on my dedicated server box after the last update.   I run the editor and server on this machine but not BOS itself.  All I had to do to fix it was run BOS, which finished its install and then everything was good again.  As soon as I launched BOS a status box popped up indicating it was installing a MS distribution (maybe C++ or something similar...) and as soon as the lobby screen popped up I quit BOS and the editor loaded like a champ.  Good luck!  This was on the Steam version.

Thank you - but it had already been run a number of times before I tried the editor.

Whoops, now I remember that I did end up uninstalling/reinstalling bos and it was after that when I ran bos that it installed that pkg! Sorry, minor detail (har)! I think I also pulled out some hair and was facing south during the reinstall. Ymmv

Thanks guys.

Support linked me to a C++ update.

I'll see how that goes - my connection is slow which makes re-installs painful and a last resort.

The C++ updates (identical looking to the ones in the directory, but NOT the exact same files apparently) did the trick.
