IL2 does not start: api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll

Hi all,

 

I've got problems running IL2 after the last update:

First I had the VCruntime missing.

I installed vc_redist.x64.exe but now I'm getting api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll missing.

 

My PC is running Windows7 64bit.

 

Any help very much appreciated!

According to German sources it appears if you do not update your Windows 7 version with Updates. It is a new "Error", let's call it that.

 

A genuine (original) Windows 7 with the latest updates is required, or alternatively, Windows 10.

 

Took me 1 minute to find out man

Another thing to do is to reboot after an update. That was posted somewhere on the forum in the past.

Don't use windows 7, and expect new games to always work. It's like almost 10 year old software.

 

But you may want to try and reinstall Direct X 11 as well as the other 2 3rd party redistributes

 

Edit, and also check for updates, again, Windows 7 updates are very awkward and don't always install or download properly.

I thought to give it a last try to avoid installing Win 10 and installed the runtime update.
