SeaW0lf Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 (edited) I got CoD last week and I am not being able to set my zoom keys -- when you press the key, the view zooms in and out continuously, not in steps like a snap view. From what I have been reading, I need to set my keys to "Hold to Zoom Camera", but no matter what I do, nothing happens. I have set it to keys or axis to no avail. Since I got it from last week (Steam), it should be updated. I just don't have the latest patch (it requires an access code that I don't have). I read somewhere that the Team Fusion update had the same zoom feature as in BOS, but I can't find a way to make it work. Is there any mod I need to use? What can I do? My settings are below. Also, I did not find any key for lables on and off (or at least I looked over the key mapping). I appreciate any info, Edited July 15, 2017 by SeaW0lf

During the installation of the TF update on Steam - ignore the bit that asks for a code. I cant remember if it says continue or finish but just keep going and it will update you to the latest TF patch and you'll have the zoom function you're looking for. Hope this helps

If I click on "check code", nothing happens. I also read about it, that it does not need a code, but since mine does not offer a donwload option I figured I had downloaded the latest version -- and that the beta was closed to beta testers or something.
DD_Arthur Posted July 16, 2017 Posted July 16, 2017 Do you see these backgrounds when you launch your game SeaWolf If you do then you are running the latest TF patch.
SeaW0lf Posted July 16, 2017 Author Posted July 16, 2017 Do you see these backgrounds when you launch your game SeaWolf. If you do then you are running the latest TF patch. Yup, I do. Then I have the latest. But for some reason I have assigned keys to "Hold to Zoom Camera" (both on my G940 and on the keyboard just to make sure) and nothing happens.
Edited July 16, 2017 by Sokol1
BOO Posted July 16, 2017 Posted July 16, 2017 Once you've assigned the zoom keys you can alter the speed to suit by opening your "confuser" config file that you find in the root folder of the game in your "My Documents" (NOT in steam apps/common) and looking for this entry: [MOD]ExtendCloudsDistance=yesZoomSpeed= The Zoom speed can be altered from 1-10. If the entry isn't there (it should be) just copy and paste the above in and set a speed. BOO
SeaW0lf Posted July 16, 2017 Author Posted July 16, 2017 Cool guys, I'll do that. I'll let you know if it worked. Thanks!
