jamesp111 Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 (edited) Obviously this is a good thing, but I am somewhat curious as to why the snow-maps aren't incredibly bright in VR: I mean, it's almost bright white, yet is comfortable to look at. Is the map actually more of a light-grey that avoids this issue, or something else? Edited July 15, 2017 by jamesp111
ShamrockOneFive Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 Maybe your monitor is calibrated differently than your VR headset. The winter maps have never been blindingly bright on my monitor. I did calibrate it after I bought it so that makes a difference.
=TBAS=Sshadow14 Posted July 16, 2017 Posted July 16, 2017 snow maps are not blindingly bright for me on normal monitor.I can see runways from 25-40km in the snow (alt and map dependent)Maybe try Reshade if you can't get monitor right settings.

Do not try Re-Shade with VR, it will not work and prevent BoS from running. 1
SCG_Fenris_Wolf Posted July 16, 2017 Posted July 16, 2017 It depends on the time of day and angle of reflection of the sun from the ground. The sun is blindingly bright, usually, but the snow rarely. Oh, and by any means, fingers off of re-shade. It breaks VR for IL-2, as dburne said already.
