Is it really just me that suffers from this, when playing in VR ?

In external view I can see vehicles and markers, most of the time, although if i pan my view I will get to an angle where they vanish and I can play around with my view, moving it back and forth, having then appear and disappear.

In cockpit view, they'll initially appear for a few seconds, but markers and vehicles will soon disappear into thin air. They appear again but only if I twist around in my seat and look as far back as I can out of the rear of the cockpit.

It seems to be a clipping issue.  It's been present for several patches, several graphics drivers, to the point that I did a complete uninstall and install.  I have no problems and it all works fine when I test outside of VR.

I can't say that I have really noticed it on my end, but in fairness I do much more air-air than air-ground.

Did a few ground attack missions when I flew the complete Stalingrad campaign though, and don't recall seeing that behavior.

Check if your startup.cfg is put to read-only, and your IPD.

I think BoS works best with an IPD of 66 to 67. If you open the IPD to 70+, it doesn't render everything at the edges.

Cheers, I'll give it a go.

Is the "IPD" in the startup CFG as well ?   Is it "or_ ipd = 0.06218" and if that is it, does that value seem to be about right ?

Putting the startup cfg to "read only" seems to have done the trick.

I'm confused. Isnt ipd a personal setting? Logic would dictate to set software ipd to match the physical ipd set on the headset.

I didnt even know there is an ipd setting in the cfg file so this is by no means a suggestion but a question.

I thought that IPD setting was read from the headset/steamVR on startup and written to that file?

Maybe why some people report double vision, with a mismatched headset IPD and game IPD due to that file being read-only?

Pure speculation, I haven't tested it yet.
