I'm liking the pedals so far but I have 2 complaints that I can't find a solution for anywhere. They take a lot of force to move and they like to stick. I've considered taking a piece of sandpaper to them but I'm not sure where on them is sticking. All I know is that it is plastic on plastic. The force wouldn't be an issue if it weren't for the dog and cat hair covering the bottoms of the rubber feet and the unpainted/lacquered hard wood floor not allowing the rubber to grip well. If anyone has a solution to both sticking and sliding any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Better not use any sandpaper. I have 3 TM Products,Cougar HOTAS, Warthog HOTAS and TM T300 RS  Wheel+Pedal combo. They allways use the same cheap plastic which is just sticki no matter how much grease you apply. If you sand it, it wil worsen the issue. Trust me, i did this to my Warthog with the finest sandpaper i could get. In the end i had to use teflon tapes to make it smooth. dont know if this is an option for the pedals, i guess not so buy a good grease and regrease it as often you need or just give it back if its new and buy a good one.

What Tm pompously call "S.M.A.R.T" is metal rail's wheres the pedal pad slides, try use some plastic friendly grease there.

In this video you see this rail system in TWCS, in TFRP is the same:

I just sold a set ....your probably going to have to figure out a way to mount them to a heavier base or make something to brace them from their location to the wall ....more grease will attract more of the cat hair you speak of :) I sold them and went to VKB Mk. IV and never looked back...good luck!

As Sokol1 said plastic friendly grease, like silicon based!

silicon based!

I had some for my x52 and decided to apply it to my TFRPs. Now they stick more.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong and I really don't want to return them, I'm starting college in the fall and I have hardly any disposable income. I can't buy any other pedals, but if I did I'd probably get VKB's. I have a friend with those who says nothing but good things. I tried them myself and I loved the feel of them. The up/down motion would probably work better than ones that have to be pushed forward/back.

So I did a pretty thorough cleaning of my pedals and applied a bit of grease to them and the still stick and jump. I have pretty much determined that the main thing causing them to stick is dog/cat hair getting on the rails, which as I apply more grease, more hair sticks. It's cyclical. I'd rather not clean these things like every other day. If I were to get other pedals for my Birthday or something, would this problem effect them as well or is it just the rail + grease combo causing this?

Pedals based on some kind of "rails":

Tm TFRP - metal rails with plastic sliders

CH PRO - plastic rail with steel rollers

Saitek  - plastic rail with plastic sliders

VKB, Baur, MFG, Slaw is based on "deformable parallelogram" structure with ball bearings (sealed) in pivots.

Try a dry lube (can't say anything more useful than that because the only ones with which I'm familiar are dry bicycle chain lubes). Alternatively, start eating roadkill and avoid any of the pedals that Sokol1 mentioned, that use sliders on rails.

I fear the saying "You get what you paid for." is sadly very true concerning these rudder pedals.

does anyone if this type of grease (mobil 28) would work on the thrustmaster fcs throttle?

I think they do work with plastic after doing some research. If you don't want to spend 20 bucks then there is a syringe filled with the grease for about 9 bucks. I put the link down below:
