machtu Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 Hello developers Had an idea that I wanted to run by you. Company sponsored multiplayer, pay for access sites. I think there is a market for pay for access sites if they offer unique services. This could provide the company with a monthly income stream and provide BoS enthusiasts more options for multiplayer server setups. The current popular MP sites are either Full manual engine/prop control with no icons, maps or Hud. Wings of Liberty type places where the true enthusiasts reside. Full icon, hud, maps and sight/bomb help available. DED normal server portrays type site where people like me reside. It would be nice if there were maybe 3 or 4+ dependable MP sites that varied between the full auto to manual sites. One of the sites in between might be setup like No aircraft icons beyond 1km. I don't mind aircraft not be identified at distance but need help close up. In real life I think you could identify at 1km but I cannot on my 27" monitor. A map you can pull up but does not show your position with a distance scale. This Lets a pilot do true & manageable dead reckoning flying for missions. I don't have photo memory when it comes to maps. Need one in the cockpit with me. Automatic engine and prop management. And so on..... In addition to different aircraft/world settings, different sites might specialize in different aspects, i.e. ground attack, bombing, dogfighting. These sites would also maybe have planned missions where a limited number of participants would need to register for. I would like to be involved with some organized mission flying without full manual settings. There could be site e news to let subscribers know about upcoming events and results. I think it would bring together newer pilots into organized flying earlier and make for tighter community. More enthusiastic BoS community and income stream. How can it get any better! BoS is such a great piece of technology and I have had much fun in the Sim. However, something as mentioned above would make it much more enjoyable for me. I personally would be willing to subscribe if the cost was reasonable. Just an idea. EVERONE READING THIS- Let me know what you think about this idea or your suggestions. And - It would be nice if the current MP list would show if icons, map, hud was available. A pilot would know what to expect in the server before entering.

=TBAS=Sshadow14 Posted July 8, 2017 Posted July 8, 2017 WoL is an Arcade Server :D(It has map markers/GPS/Full Hud, Ace skill Gunners and AAA and Non Historical Plane loadouts and choices.It's my fav server buts it not Sim level for enthusiasts..)But yeah also not going to pay for something that is not stable and NOT Server side controlled for cheating.
