Thanks to all the folks that came to my server this evening/last night (depending on when you read this) to test the Spit and my little practice server. I understand that there were some issues with folks seeing the labels for the encounter groups and I'll see if I can find out what that was.

 

I will be away for the next few days so the server will not be back up until I return, but I really appreciate any feedback.

Server will be up periodically during the summer months - best days to check are Tuesday and Friday evenings - sometimes also on a Saturday or Sunday (aftenooons and/or evenings)

Soviet Union - Fighters and Attack Aircraft from Migalovo Airfield (0413-9). Ground Attack and Bombers from Vnukovo Airfield (1724-4). There is also a Spitfires only airfield at Rogachevo (0822-9) with nearby groups of 109 G2s, 190 A3s and A5s for that Kuban practice encounter.

 

Axis - Fighters and Attack Aircraft from Zenino Airfield (2113-7). Ground Attack and Bombers from Rjev (1005-3).

 

Action is found near to your bases. All enemies respawn approximately 1 minute after all friendly aircraft leave the encounter area. Fly as either side good luck.

I'll send you a copy if you would like one. The mission is nothing special, just a chance to fly any aircraft against AI opposition. I have set areas around each spawn point for encounters. For each side you will find the following:

 

For Bomber and attack aircraft bases there is an HQ/Depot complex nearby to practice your bombing.

 

For Fighter/Attack aircraft bases there are:

A range area with artillery, trucks and light armour

An attack intercept where you encounter low-level random attack aircraft (x4)

A bomber intercept where you encounter 6x bombers plus 2x fighter escort

An area where you encounter 2x random fighter (chosen from a list of 5)

An area where you encounter 4x random fighter (chosen from a list of 5)

An area where you encounter 8x random fighter (two groups of 4x as above)

An are where you encounter 2x random ability fighter of a set type

 

There is also a Spitfires only spawn point that has nearby encounters with 109 G2 or G4s and FW 190 A5s

 

Occasionally I update the map or change the aircraft that can be in the random groups, but anyone can do that.
