I rushed home yesterday, eagerly turned on steam, but didnt get an update to download. Should i be concerned? Granted, I haven't launched the game yet to see if it's already updated. Ran out of time.

 

Those with steam installs, did you have to do an update yesterday?

The Spit is interesting. In the landing configuration, when you pull power, the nose gently pitches up, add power, it gently pitches down and requires a pull force to rotate and climb away on a go around. Very cool. One would expect such behavior from WWII fighters with massive props and corresponding wash, with tail planes and trim systems with varied locations and characteristics.

Nice little touch i have just noticed with the Spit,  is the warning buzzer that sounds when the throttle is fully closed ? can someone explain !

The placard above the throttle explains what it's doing.

Without reading the placard, I'd guess it's a landing gear not down warning.
