CUJO_1970 Posted July 4, 2017 Posted July 4, 2017 Very nice video and good cooperation flying together for mutual protection. a 109 against 3 Pe-2 is in a tough situation because of his liquid cooled engine is so vulnerable. Dispersing his attacks among all three aircraft meant they could absorb less damage individually. For 109 especially it is better to attack at higher angle and greater speeds instead of flat 6 o'clock approach. Also better to concentrate your fire and repeat attacks on one aircraft than all three if possible. Also - those 88 placement at the base of the bridge...ensures they will be destroyed along with the bridge. What I liked most was maintaining close formation throughout the attack to maximize your defensive fire and also through the egress back to base. Cool video, thanks for sharing.
SCG_Darbzy Posted July 5, 2017 Author Posted July 5, 2017 Thanks Cujo, we normally don't have much fighter escort as our squad is all over different time zones so sticking together is the best tactic. If that 109 had focussed on one of us it would have been different!
