VR-DriftaholiC Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Having a G940 this is pretty big. Would love to have a non grainy no dead zone... STICK 1
Allons Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 Same here, good news we have ppl working on the FF issue but i´d prefer a stick much more..
ImPeRaToR Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 Agree, a new FFB stick would be brilliant - maybe even one for left-handed people One can always dream anyway
Sim Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 Someone start a kickstarter for a new stick.. - force feedback like MSFF2 - modern 3D hall sensor - stick quality like warthog - base like black mamba - interchangeable grips like warthog - yaw twist axis for accessibility? And you have a winner.. 1
VR-DriftaholiC Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 (edited) Why would they use MSFF2 tech when they have the magnet tech. Edited December 13, 2013 by driftaholic

HagarTheHorrible Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 (edited) I e-mailed the people behind the kickstarter to see if they had any thoughts about making a FFB stick, this is the response; Iris Dynamics Ltd. says: Hey Tom! Thanks for the suggestion, it seems since we launched this KS campaign almost every 3rd question was about developing a good CL/FFB stick! We were contracted about a month ago (right before the KS campaign) to build a CL helicopter cyclic (stick) using two of our actuators and a gimbal mechanism. This was originally just going to be a single unit hand built device for this individual commercial client, however after having some public exposure over the last few weeks I can confidently say that this IS very much on our radar. At this point in the game a CL stick is the next project on our horizon (after the yokes have gone into production.) If you go to our website IrisDynamics.com and punch your email into to small form on the left side you'll be kept in the loop on this stuff. Also as a quick question to you, what sort of price/quality do you think would be best to target for a CL stick? Hyper realistic (IE real components) in the $800+ range or something a little more comparable to a high end gaming HOTAS system ie $500 ish? It seems to be quite encouraging, so I'm going to throw them a few bucks to help support their project, even though I have no interest in a yoke, maybe, in the spirit of our small community supporting projects linked to our hobbie some others might consider doing the same. Stig Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 +1 Hagar I threw a few bucks thier way about a week ago when I read Sokol's post on another forum. I haven't any use for a yoke either but I hope they reach their goal and then go ahead with a stick.
HagarTheHorrible Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 Seems like they were successful, so hopefully, fingers crossed, after the yoke they might do a half reasonable stick, which, if we were honest, the sim comunity have been crying out for, with ever diminishing prospects. 2

VO101_MMaister Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 The only problem that it is not working with the common FFB interface, hence it is not PnP with most of the simulators today. Currently it is supported only by X-Planes and FSX. It may be a simple to fix issue, maybe not.

VR-DriftaholiC Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 On their forums I read that the roll force is relatively weak as well. I'm hoping they make a dual magnetic type setup in the future.

III/JG11_Tiger Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 $800 - $1000 GTFO I thought this was supposed to be affordable?!? Warthog plus shipping costs with an extension plus shipping cost is not far off that price in Australia, but yes if they can do it for around 500 they will sell a lot more units. The real problem I see is how do they get the data out of sims like BOS and ROF, not much good if all that can be flown is x-plane and FSX, well not for those of us that like our combat flight sims.
VR-DriftaholiC Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Still waiting for a reviewer to get one. Should be happening soon.
PA-Sniv Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 We have plans to make other simulator products such as joysticks and throttles. Look forward to these exciting announcements over the next couple of months. So maybe a new FFB joystick and FFB rudder in future! http://irisdynamics.com/yoke-update/
SYN_Lt_Dan Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 (edited) At last my ffb2 needs to rest after 10 years !!!. I hope its powerful so I need two hands to pull out of a dive and when I crash it brakes both my legs ....wait na maybe now that last bit But still a good ffb stick is long over due . 71st_AH_Hooves Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 a quality Force feedback Stick and Rudders combo would a day one purchase for me.
VR-DriftaholiC Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 (edited) $800 - $1000 GTFO I thought this was supposed to be affordable?!? They are up to $1499 now So much for “Affordable Force Feedback Yoke”, thats double the price of kickstarter units. Edited September 12, 2014 by driftaholic
