CIA_Windhawk Posted June 29, 2017 Posted June 29, 2017 (edited) Is it possible to give input devices a name that shows up in the controls mapping screen? When I map joystick buttons, they read as "Joy6_BTN5", for example. I would rather that they read something like "WTHG_BTN5", or something similarly customized. Has anyone found a way to edit a config file to do this? Edited June 29, 2017 by CIA_Windhawk
Sokol1 Posted June 29, 2017 Posted June 29, 2017 (edited) Nope. But the name of device don't matter, since you don't are able to select device (joystick/pedal/throttle...) by name or "nickname" (joy6) - like is possible in DCSW drop down menu - no risk to mix names/devices during assignment. The button registered is the one you press. To give visibility for your wish post in question for developers or suggestions topics. Edited June 30, 2017 by Sokol1
71st_AH_Mastiff Posted June 29, 2017 Posted June 29, 2017 yea that's not going to happen, i.e. to many ID devices first of all, and second it's written through DX_Device_Inputs, DX is the numerator for input device. and that's controlled by Micro$oft.
