Wanganui_Wildcat Posted June 26, 2017 Posted June 26, 2017 Just a quick video I put together to show one of the guys I fly with what happened, thought I would share it on here as well. I thought I had done enough to avoid him and it wasn't until I watched the replay that I saw what had happened. Arguably his wing may still have hit my prop regardless but I will never know for sure. Also I thought I was aiming for a gap in the trees to put her down, didn't see that other one due to where the prop had stopped. Enjoy
ShamrockOneFive Posted June 26, 2017 Posted June 26, 2017 I've had to bail/belly land twice recently thanks to a wing flying off and hitting my prop. Looks like what happened to you!

Yeah, my theory is he ran out of bullets and so decided to throw his wing at me, got to hand it to him, it was very effective! haha
JG27*Kornezov Posted June 26, 2017 Posted June 26, 2017 (edited) Actually =WFPK=Wanganui_Wildcat that is a very bad example of ACM(Air Combat Maneuver)You just allowed the 109 a head-on situation, giving him a chance to shoot or collide at you. After shooting you turned to the right: A big mistake. We can discuss what should be a better ACM : there is not just one solution. Edited June 26, 2017 by JG27_Kornezov
Wanganui_Wildcat Posted June 27, 2017 Author Posted June 27, 2017 Yeah, it didn't go how I had expected it to, I thought he was going to run for home. I was surprised to see him coming back at me!
Barnacles Posted June 27, 2017 Posted June 27, 2017 109s somtimes can be billowing black smoke and still be very dangerous.
Wanganui_Wildcat Posted June 27, 2017 Author Posted June 27, 2017 109s somtimes can be billowing black smoke and still be very dangerous. Absolutely they can. In fact I've been shot down by 109's that the server has told me are dead on more than one occasion!
