Soarfeat Posted June 25, 2017 Posted June 25, 2017 In case anyone is wanting to try out rudder pedals, I saw these on sale ( Amazon ) for @ 56 dollars. I know, they are not metal, they are plastic and not premium pedals but for this price it is a nice set for anyone wanting to try them out. Also, at this price I went ahead and got a pair in case my old ch pedals mess up. https://www.amazon.com/Thrustmaster-Flight-Rudder-Pedals-Playstation/dp/B015PII6YI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1498431374&sr=8-1&keywords=thrustmaster+rudder+pedals Cheers-sf--
kestrel79 Posted June 27, 2017 Posted June 27, 2017 I got these and this is a must have at that price, I'd get them as a backup pair. These things feel much better to me than my over 10 year old CH pedals. Great product for the price.
ruby_monkey Posted June 27, 2017 Posted June 27, 2017 Pros: tough, reliable, stable, good brake action, reasonable price. Cons: pedals *very* close together - worse than many cars. Lots of stiction in the pedal travel - be ready to grease the rails like a ladyboy's buttocks. Pedals lie pretty flat at full brake travel, and can bind up the rudder action. They'll do to get you started, or as an emergency back-up, but their real role is to keep you going long enough to save up for a set of Crosswinds.
Thad Posted June 27, 2017 Posted June 27, 2017 Salutations, Are there any good lubrication products that are recommended that can improve any stiction problems?
ruby_monkey Posted June 27, 2017 Posted June 27, 2017 I would have thought that any reasonably thick mineral grease would do the job.
Soarfeat Posted June 27, 2017 Author Posted June 27, 2017 Good grief the price has dropped 5 dollars since I bought--- they are now 51 dollars--- ( just a heads up, get'em while they're hot ) As far as a lubricant for stuff like this that may have some plastic contact --- I use this silicone paste https://www.amazon.com/3M-08946-Clear-Silicone-Paste/dp/B005RNEH5O/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1498598509&sr=8-1&keywords=silicone+paste cheers-sf-
Warpig Posted June 27, 2017 Posted June 27, 2017 Since it's Amazon, you can always return them if you don't like them. It's a good opportunity for first time pedal users.
Ryu4fly Posted June 30, 2017 Posted June 30, 2017 Bought the t1600m fcs and pedals separately for 150ish since the whole set is 180 and so far I love it!
