Been a long while since playing Il2 back in the day.  Decided to purchase BoS and dust off my X45 and hook up my racing pedals for rudder control.

Nicely done with the few quick missions I have played.  Can take off and land but there is a long way to go before I get anywhere competent and remembering all them key commands )).

Find flying on Custom easier than Normal, the flight model is nicer to deal with.  Can't wait for 2nd gen VR wear to fly this thing with.  I might be able to splurge on it as well as some good rudder pedals.  Oh, and a dream, to have full force feedback for this sim ))

Anyway.  Fun to be back.

Welcome back! This next gen IL-2 is pretty incredible in my mind. Took me a bit to warm up but I'm fully in now!

Welcome! It's a great game, and it's shaping up to be even better!!

Yes indeed welcome!

I was away for a really, really long time from being involved early on in the early access period of BoS.

With the change in direction they have taken and now especially with the incredible VR support they have implemented, I am back in a big way and loving every minute of it.

Some really great things coming down the pike as well.

Great to see another "old timer" returning to the fold. Good flying!

Ta everyone.  It was Il2 Forgotten Battles that got my interest in Finland going leading to a move there ))

Nothing like flying a Bumble Bee over the lakes of Finland on the lookout for those AI Soviet Aces.

Can't wait to delb into VR and see what it brings to the table but 2ng gen I will wait for and the fiances might match.  It runs great on my 8350 and 390 AMD system at 1440p.  Looks a treat too.
