I think we will finally get a good Spitfire model to play with.

 

From the video it looks very well modeled, from the graphics to the way the aircraft can be seen performing the various maneuvers.

 

I never liked the feel of Spitfires in other games, like the Real Air and A2A for FSX, the one in BoB, the IL2 CloD, and finally the recently released IX for DCS. They were all a disappointment for me - I believe this is going to be the first I'll really ne able to enjoy.

After his several hundred hours in the real thing of course a simulated Spittie is going to be a disappointment...  ;-)

Well, for several reasons, that don't really require flying the real thing to be easily identified...

 

The last one I used was the IX in DCS World... What can I say... it's still in Early Access, I know....

 

No I actually haven't flown a Spitfire IRL, but 36 yrs flying IRL is probably more than what you have logged in sims... Ya see... gives me some perspective about flying, flight dynamics... irrespective of the type of aircraft... at least when it comes to basic aerodynamics :-)
