Gambit21 Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 I have a question regarding the proper translation of something for upcoming campaign briefings. When I look up the word I get 20 different translations, and not sure about context. Thanks.
Ribbon Posted June 16, 2017 Posted June 16, 2017 Did you tried post a thread on russian il2 forum asking for help, there are a lot of guy speaking english?

=TBAS=Sshadow14 Posted June 17, 2017 Posted June 17, 2017 Russian is a nice looking language but imho soooo hard to learn.Context means everything.Saying "There is a country called Australia" (is one way of spelling Australia) -"Yest' strana pod nazvaniyem Avstraliya"But to say "I am from Australia" Is a different Spelling For Australia. - "ya iz Avstralii"So i have a new appreciation for fluent speaking russians as it makes english seem easy
Missionbug Posted June 17, 2017 Posted June 17, 2017 So i have a new appreciation for fluent speaking russians as it makes english seem easy I have tried over the years to communicate with those guys at AviaSkins and it is difficult I can say, usually I compose a message in English and post it in Google translate to see what it gives in Russian, then copy and translate it back Russian to English and see how it looks then. Usually after about four or five tries I can get something that seems okay to me so post the message, hopefully by then it is good for them receiving it and they at least can understand something in what I post. Anyway, no one has replied with anything offensive yet so I guess I did not upset anyone. All the best, Pete.
