Is this a game issue or is something wrong with my x52 pro?

For what you are trying use this rotaries?

If you are trying to use your rotaries for trim it will not work.  There may be a way to make them useful for applying "keypresses" but trims are meant to be keypresses in this simulator.  You can only map some trim functions to an axis (like the 109 "stablizer" *I think*).

someone jump in and save me or give a better explanation if that wasn't clear enough.

Thanks for the replies.

I don't want the rotaries for trim.  I tried to map them to the stabilizer , RPM and mixture.

Will somebody please confirm if the bf109 stabilizer, RPM and mixture controls can or cannot be mapped to rotaries?

Stabilizer will work on a rotary (I have an X-55 and have it on the lower thumb rotary). Bf 109 doesn't have manual RPM or mixture controls, but those can both be rotaries for the aircraft that do have those controls (109 has optional manual prop pitch, but it's on automatic by default and not necessary to use it).

Thanks for your reply.

There must be something wrong with my x52 pro then, as I can't map axis to the rotaries in game or with the SST software.

I have the X52 pro as well and for me, everything is working fine. I have RPM and Zoom on my rotaries and I had Prop Pitch instead of Zoom for a while. Never had any problems setting it up either.

I set it up just like how you would any other axis.

I hope you get yours working.

What OP need mind is that RMP, Prop Pitch maybe don't work in axis (joystick rotaries/sliders) for some planes, because IRL this planes don't has this controls in lever/wheel/crank, but electric buttons (Bf 109, Fw 190...).

Good news!  I opened the throttle up and cleaned the pots for the rotaries and they are now working.
