How hard can it be to fly into a 50(?) nmi radio arc? I'm basically already dead-reckoning above Moscow, where everything looks the same; might as well fly over the ocean with as many visual clues

If you keep track of where you are from takeoff, it's actually pretty easy to find where you are over Moscow. Just look at the shape of the forests, then compare them to your map.

 

There are no forests on the ocean.
