1CGS LukeFF Posted June 4, 2017 1CGS Posted June 4, 2017 I am trying to map keypresses to my new GVL224 controller with MJoy Mapper and I am running in a problem with mapping keypress combinations. For example, I am trying to use Left Alt + F to map the gunsight toggle command, but the game is not recognizing this command. How do I solve this?
dburne Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 (edited) I am not familiar with Mjoy, however I do know back when I was using TARGET the game would have some issues with certain combo key presses being recongized in the game - as it would input as both keys being pressed at the same time. Had to introduce a little delay in between the two key presses, like LeftAlt press and hold +short delay+ F. Perhaps might be a way to accompish this with MJoy? Edited June 4, 2017 by dburne
1CGS LukeFF Posted June 4, 2017 Author 1CGS Posted June 4, 2017 (edited) I dunno, what is strange is now the game doesn't even recognize single keypress commands that I have loaded into MJoy Mapper. For instance, I have the E key mapped to a button for the engine start sequence, and I can confirm in Notepad that the controller is sending that key command. But, in BoS, nothing at all happens. It's really strange, and I cannot figure out what is going on. Edited June 4, 2017 by LukeFF
KpaxBos Posted June 5, 2017 Posted June 5, 2017 Hello, Have you checked in the BOS setting screen the answer when you press the button ? (I am quite sure the answer is yes ). May you could try this mapper : https://whitemagic.github.io/JoystickGremlin/ Good Luck

Have you tested other single key commands using Mjoy to see if they work to maybe isolate this? Also can you possible program the E key press as a press and hold function whilst the button is held in, and then a release function when the button is released? Maybe it is making a single E key press too fast or something - just throwing stuff out there.
Sokol1 Posted June 5, 2017 Posted June 5, 2017 (edited) Mjoy Mapper is too old (~2004), SVMapper can be considered a "advanced" version - was done for MMjoy too and is easy to use, a plus is that can map different controllers in same profile. In this example I map some combinations, e.g. LShift+G. https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/20963-svmapper/?hl=%2Bsvmapper&do=findComment&comment=356951 Alternatively Joy2key, Xpadder are other easy to use keymapper. "I am trying to use Left Alt + F to map the gunsight toggle command, but the game is not recognizing this command. " This is related to the way BoS engine handle modifiers and not controller specific. For Saitek SST, TARGET the solution for this is ad pause between the keys. Edited June 5, 2017 by Sokol1
