Danziger Posted May 30, 2017 Posted May 30, 2017 Dear computer experts... I'm going back over the road long haul which means I'll be living in a semi truck sleeper again. I would really prefer to not take my desktop PC again as it takes a lot of space. What are some minimum specs I should look for in a laptop to na able to play BoX? Right now my desktop runs fine on ultra 1920x1080 with an amd fx4100 3.6ghz, 16gb ddr3 memory and 4gb ddr5 amd card. I am looking to spend as little as possible of course but want to stay in the range of 1k to 1.5kUSD hard currency maximum. Thanks!
Jade_Monkey Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 (edited) You should find a decent gaming laptop in that price range. I cant give you a specific model right now but look at the ones with a 1060 or higher if you can. Some newer gaming laptops are not as bulky but those might be more expensive than the monsters by asus and acer. Edited May 31, 2017 by Jade_Monkey
=TBAS=Sshadow14 Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 (edited) As you will be in your truck i recommend the BIGGEST Bulkiest laptop you can get as bigger is better for cooling and performance.Keep in mind you might get similar performance to a desktop on a laptop with 4ghz intel and gtx1060 but you will NOT get the same image quality (thats how laptop drivers are hacked so gaming laptops pull 60fps or more and thats why there is gtx1060 and gtx1060m drivers (the latter has reduce visuals to keep up fps)But to answer question.any 3.5-4.5Ghz intel or 4Ghz Amd Laptop with GTX 980M,1050M,1060m or ATI equivalents) will do the trick im sure. (keep in mind a GTX980M out performs GTX1050M,1060M) Edited May 31, 2017 by =R4T=Sshadow14
