71st_AH_Vertigo Posted May 30, 2017 Posted May 30, 2017 Firstly. I am absolutely loving this sim in VR.. WOW I have been playing without any issues for last three weeks when all of a sudden I am having trouble with my CH controllers.. It is a brand new machine, i7-7700 , GTX 1080 card, and been it's been running everything maxed out just fine.. Now all of a sudden, the controllers are spiking.. When you open up calibration window on rudder pedals, especially, you can sit and watch the input bar wiggle around and surge... You can also find this on the throttle axis and throttle quadrant axises.. but not as pronounced. MS FFB2 joystick, totally unaffected.. What would cause this..? I have tried trying different usb ports, both 2.0 and 3.0... Nothing works. Any ideas? Thanks S!
ShamrockOneFive Posted May 30, 2017 Posted May 30, 2017 Is it possible that something has gone wrong and its a hardware failure? You said controllers so it sounds like suddenly both are doing it at the same time? My X-52 stick did that starting with the rudder axis and then things went down hill from there. But the spiking was strictly limited to the axis. Not everything else.
71st_AH_Vertigo Posted May 30, 2017 Author Posted May 30, 2017 Thanks guys.. It wouldn't be a power supply problem would it? I simply don't know what causes spiking.. thx
SCG_Space_Ghost Posted May 30, 2017 Posted May 30, 2017 Thanks guys.. It wouldn't be a power supply problem would it? I simply don't know what causes spiking.. thx If both controllers started doing this with no provocation, it could be a "power supplied" issue with your USB ports. Try plugging the controllers in to separate USB banks (different set of ports if you have them) or plugging them in to a powered USB hub.
