Voidhunger Posted May 26, 2017 Author Posted May 26, 2017 https://il2sturmovik.com/about/#4 I may have misunderstood the OP. My bad. I meant which planes was historically present at BOM/BOS/BOK. something like: La5 was present at late BOS timeline but was it available in BOK? Or only La5F was there?
ShamrockOneFive Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 I meant which planes was historically present at BOM/BOS/BOK. something like: La5 was present at late BOS timeline but was it available in BOK? Or only La5F was there? To do that for each plane would take time. The plane information within the game actually gives a start date which helps a little bit and Wikipedia isn't a bad place to go for basic info as well. The La-5 off the top of my head appeared in late summer 1942 in the Stalingrad region for early series testing. Various fighter groups continued to use it during the Stalingrad battle and some La-5s served with units well into 1944. M-82F engines started to be fitted to the La-5 in December of 1942 and the La-5 should be good for use all the way through to the end of the major fighting at Kuban. They would have gradually been replaced in 1943 by the La-5F models with a cut down fuselage. At the moment we don't have access to that model of aircraft but with the recently introduced engine mod we do have a La-5 with the M-82F engine making it an early La-5F.
