How do you finish a mission?

Hello,

 

I'm still new to IL2 and I can't seem to finish the campaign missions. I fly to the area, shoot down the attackers, and fly home but it still doesn't give me a check mark on the mission map. It says "Mission Finished" and that I can end it but it still doesn't give me the check. I have tried it with short and full duration and with Russia and Germany but it still doesn't work. I play on normal realism if that makes a difference. Thanks for any responses and sorry if this question is stupid or already been asked.

 

P.S. I'm looking for someone to play with on Discord or TeamSpeak if someone wants a wingman. No one on my friends list seems to want to play a game that requires a bit of input.  

 

P.S.S. I've heard rumors that there might a Pacific IL2. If this is true will it be DLC or a standalone title? If it is just a rumor then, like I said before, sorry for stupid questions.

Sounds like a bug in campaign, have you tried another airfield?

 

Pacific is coming and I'm sure you find TS company in no time. I don't use it yet but probably will in future.
