neo2264 Posted May 25, 2017 Posted May 25, 2017 I just tried my Oculus Rift for the first time in IL-2 bos, and everything seems fine except that when I load into a mission my point of view floats up to above the cockpit and just stays there. I'm not sure if it's a default control contradicting my Saitek X52's throttle position or what. I tried bringing up Oculus to reset the default view, and it didn't solve the problem. I looked through the control settings in IL-2 bos and there's a Numpad 5 key for resetting view, but when I pressed that, nothing happened either. Has anyone else experienced this or by chance would you have any suggestions as to where to look to solve this issue? Thanks

There is a re-center VR view , it is specifically for re-centering in VR. It is under the Pilot Head Control tab, and listed as default VR View. You should assign to a button to have it easily accessible. You will also find VR Zoom that can be assigned to a button in there as well. Press and hold to zoom. Not sure why yours would be floating up though, do check and make sure you have no conflicts in any of your controls. If your Rift is behaving properly in Oculus Home, it is likely not the Oculus software that is the issue. I assume you assigned it for seated/standing when set up in the Steam VR? Baglunch Posted March 28, 2019 Posted March 28, 2019 I know this was a couple years old but did you ever find a fix for this? I am struggling with this problem (it keeps refloating up to a position above the cockpit and gunsite) and with weird image splitting and tearing.
