The "Justin is a Bonehead" Yak-1b Giveaway

Due to my own hastiness in replying to HerrMurf's thread for his giveaway, I did not read the rules thoroughly, and I wrongfully accepted a Yak-1b when I already received a different gift aircraft from another member earlier this year.

 

In order right my wrong, I am offering up a Yak-1b key for free to one of our members. I am using most of the rules from HerrMurf's thread, as they were his that I inadvertently went against in the first place.

 

REPLY DIRECTLY TO THIS POST. NO PM's - for transparency

 

1.       First come, first serve

2.       You must own the game to receive the Yak-1b

3.       You may not already own the module.

4.       Don’t ask for “a friend” See rule 1

5.       You should not have received any giveaways from others as this is intended to expand the player base (but I have no way of verifying that – be honorable. Not a dumbass like Justin   )

6.       I expect you to activate it immediately and to actually use the item from the giveaway.

 

 

Hopefully this will make right my bonehead maneuver and I will get no hard feelings from either HerrMurf or the community.

Edit: though I violate HerrMurph's rule 7. I received a copy of BoS last year from another member. (For which I am very grateful to have been introduced to this great sim!)

Hell Justin.... I will vouch for your honesty and integrity any day. One of the better TS buddies and gentlemen that I enjoy flying with on a regular basis.

No real circle of events, I just gave away the plane I wrongfully acquired by my failure read the directions properly. It's about righting an inadvertent wrong, and my own personal integrity.

Yes, that was definitely an honorable thing to do. I was just joking that the receiver of your gift did not meet your Rule 5 (HerrMurf's Rule 7) criteria either. So maybe he will pass the ball on, too.

I had no way of knowing this, but "be honorable" was highlighted in red this time in the rules as to avoid someone making my same mistake. What say you hrafnkolbrandr?

Just... wow! My one little mistake has ended up helping several other players. Amazing!

 

There may be some spits and spats in this community of passionate members, but this goes to show, when the chips are down this really is a great community. Cheers to all, especially HerrMurf, not only has the community been given a boost, but hopefully dev team as well!
