A-20 Battle of Kuban historic references needed

Greetings all,

 

As some of you know I'll be beginning work on an A-20 scripted campaign for the Kuban release.

Work will begin as soon as the map is released, with another aircraft standing in for mission building and testing purposes until the A-20 itself becomes available.

 

As with the Ju-52 missions I just released, emphasis will be on immersion and maximizing the capabilities of the game engine, and not to the letter historical accuracy.

(later Pacific campaigns will be as extremely accurate as the game resources allow since I have all the necessary research. but that's for later)

"Historically Plausible"  with an extra dose of adventure is what I went for with the Ju-52 missions, and the same will apply for the A-20 campaign.  However I'd still

like as much historical accuracy as is possible given limited references.

 

Shooting for at least 15 missions, possibly 20.

 

If anyone can provide book titles, other reading material, links, anecdotes...anything at all that will help me establish where the A-20's were operating from, and when, squadrons...where the lines were...anything.

It all helps. I'll be starting from ground zero here in the information department. Obviously I'm doing all the researching I can on my end.

That website is what I've been reading while bored at exams. It may have more info on A20s but it's all about interviews and articles on Lend lease aircraft in the USSR. It's a pretty interesting site to dig through.

I'm not much help for historical references, but the IL-2 swots should surely come through for you.

I'd like a bit more historical fidelity than with the Ju-52 missions...although all anyone notices as the fun/immersion factor honestly.
