Recoil

Any mention of recoil being implemented at any point ?

Some of these aircraft have big guns.

I read a book a wee while ago, about a Hurricane pilot, who talked about the first time he fired his guns and being surprised that the nose of his aircraft was dipping down when he fired his eight 303 Brownings.

It is one of the things I remember quite distinctly about the original IL2, sitting on the runway and rolling back as you fired the guns.

There is definitely already recoil in the game aha, try flying slow and firing a cannon, the effect is definitely there =)

FFB,  maybe !

Tried several aircraft, sitting on the runway, with the biggest weapon mods. Not a sausage.

Recoil is def there, try firing the giant wing canons on the 87, the plane will yaw left and right (or at least it used to, haven't run that setup in a while).

When doing gun runs on ground targets I also notice my nose sway when I open up regardless of which plane I fly, though with some it's more subtle. Nothing like you described though, def haven't experienced any weapons causing my nose to dip while firing.

That's because it was pure fantasy and nonsense that the planes were rolling backwards sitting on the runway in the original series.

That P51 video is because the tail is bouncing down. We don't have the tail sitting perpendicular to the runway.

Recoil is there but please DO NOT use war thunder as a gauge for recoil its majorly over stated in there for game balance..
and you can land a P51 @ 400kph then use guns recoil to quickly to stop on runway where only brakes would mean you overshoot by 1km.
Some planes in WT you can even reverse on the ground using guns!
