Double vision? (Solved)

Reticle itself is irrelevant, IPD seems to be working fine, as I said earlier it looks like both cameras were slightly tilted, although I'm not 100% certain if that's the problem. It's also not connected to the framerate, the issue remains in both high and low settings.

One more thing: double vision through the spinning prop blades.  Again, I am pushing a 970 beyond its limits and I recognize that fact.  I wouldn't mind turning the prop effect off if possible ... or I could just fly Me110s.

Have you tried it with ASW disabled?

That's basically what I've done - flying the twin-engine birds solves the prop effect problem for me, and as a fringe benefit it makes checking six (which can be a bit tricky in VR) less of a problem since there's generally no good way to see back there anyway in those birds and there's usually a gunner back there to help you out as well.  Plus, the 110 has always been one of my favorite rides, and there are several other twins in the game (Pe-2, Ju-88, Hs-129) that I'm looking forward to trying out as well.

Yes

Wow, that is very strange not sure why you would be seeing that.

Well, I think it's because I am trying to drive VR with a 970 :).  Doctor it hurts when I do this.  Don't do that.

Unfortunately the run on graphics cards has made them an unwise purchase inthe short term, so it looks like I'll have to live with it for awhile.  I am posting here to see if anybody else has seen and solved the problem in a way other than "buy a better GPU".

First, pardon for terrible formatting in the post, I am writing from mobile.

@ Patrick, the local double vision through prop blades only appears if asw stood enabled.

I recommend you try lefuneste's VR migoto, you can there disable the prop blade from rendering, change ipd, and fix crosshair size. In game, make sure to check the following when starting: press Ctrl+Numpad1 (or Ctrl+Numpad2 when on gtx970!). Disable Hud. Enable fps counter. Look at the fps counter.

If pressed ctrl+Numpad: Does the fps float between 90 and 45? If not, asw is still active.

If pressed ctrl+Numpad2: Does it stay at 45fps and never dips beneath it? On a single prop plane, do flashed occur in cross hair with a running engine?

If it goes lower than 45, it's the gtx970 creating your troubles.

Thanks for the tips.  I will try  them out.  I have not seen lefuneste's  VR migoto until you mentioned it.  That will no doubt help.

I did some testing and my frame rate is often under thirty while the CPU on my poor overworked 970 is maxed.  Even at that FR it's still fun.  I was having a very nice time practicing in a He-111 last night and I have played several PWCG fighter missions using VR.  Once the bitcoin mining craze dies down and GPU prices get reasonable again I will upgrade.
