First congrats to the team, detail by detail this sim is getting amazing, new airplane hits effects are awesome and graphics improvements too.

Overcast weather seems to be forgotten, its really terrible and the rain effect not on par with the rest of the sim.

better to remove it,than have it so bad.

Hope it gets fixed.

Motoadve,

Sorry, what exactly is the issue that you want fixed?

I guess the weather graphics are subjective and some might say they are really good, therefore perhaps if you explain your reasons it might help to understand your issue.

I thought it looked pretty great. Some of the rain effects aren't maybe 100% but I like that they are trying to give the impression of localized downpours which is exactly how rain should look in a flight simulation.

Although the show overcast does look better to me, i think the rain effect's are nice enough. I don't know sims that do it better.

And, AFAIK, multiple cloud layers can also already be defined in the Mission Editor ( ? )

IL.2 has one of the best turbulence and wind variability models I can find in flightsims all around, from combat to civil.

Me to, but the rain effect in Il-2 is mostly the same. Only the raindrops are gone.

I asked about IFR weather conditions in the Q-to-the-D thread and was told its unlikely for the foreseeable future.

I think it's probably an optimization thing - there's no resource-cheap way to produce these types of effects right now.

There comes the question to my mind, up to which wheather conditions did they really fly?

I remember missions in good old '46, where I never would have found my airfield again, if there would not have been an AI leader bringing me back home.

Im talking this type of conditions, overcast with visibility.

Grey looking, dark looking.

Rain effects so far I have not seen a sim that does them good except for the upcoming one.

In the BOK announcement Jason said something about this.

- Liquid effects on Canopies (Possibly if research results are good)

So maybe they will add this later down the road.
