HagarTheHorrible Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 Golf. Golf was a big driver in early PC gaming. I reckon the same will be true for VR, maybe even it's killer app. Add a weighted FFB stick peripheral, one that extends or shortens to simulate correct feel of club and play anywhere, anytime, any course, any weather conditions, with friends, without the travel and without the walk. Perfect. When your done social VR for a nice chilled beer and chat. Golf courses should be worried, the future isn't them.
Bando Posted May 15, 2017 Posted May 15, 2017 Sh*t, Hagar you brought back a lot of memories there. Don't remember the name of the golf software, but I do remember: "looks like you hit the trees, Jim". It was on my first PC with a sound card installed. Good times

Good times At a time when home PC's were few and far between a lot of military computers spent a lot of time filling in the gaps with golf.
