This is kind of a double post; I put it in General Discussion, should probably be here...

 

 

Put the VR option into the Startup/Updater screen...

 

This would allow easily starting up IL2 in either VR mode or Desktop mode... it's handy when doing settings or other "maintenance"...

 

I was able to do this in DCS by creating two .ini type files and pointing a desktop shortcut to each one; would be great to have this capability in IL2...

 

Perhaps this capability already exists and I just havn't found it ?

- 'Collapsed HUD' issue fixed

 

 

You can use this command line option to turn VR off:

 

IL-2.exe or_enable=0

 

and this to turn it on ( the second parameter turns on exclusive input so the game won't lose focus if it runs in window mode):

 

IL-2.exe or_enable=1;exclusive=1

We could also use an official 4k skin option.  I am told they make a huge difference in VR (though I cannot vouch for that)

Thanks Black_Sab, that worked just fine.  I wrote a couple of two line batch files, first line to change directory, second line to start IL-2 with the commands.
