Scripted campaigns... enjoyment!

I've had a break from flying whilst I moved house, that, and the ongoing 780 nightmare really curtailed my enjoyment of the game.

 

However, I have got the thing going again and have been running two of the scripted campaigns... 'Ten Days of Autumn' and 'The Butcher'... 

 

I am thoroughly enjoying both campaigns, one with the F2, and one with the FW 190A3.

They both have a good mixture of missions, and the effort put in by the authors is much appreciated.

I am finding myself enthralled again, after a long 5 month gap from any kind of flight simming.

How did you get this to work? I put the files in their respective folders, but the campaign doesn't show up for me.

Don't know if you have a Steam version or a separate installation, I have a normal install not Steam...

Depending on how the campaign creator has packaged the files, you either drop the file into your main IL2 folder, or if you are like me, I unzip the file, put the campaign itself into the 'campaign' folder, plus any packaged skins into the 'skins' folder... works fine for me.

 

Both files can be found in your 'data' folder... 'skins' comes under 'graphics'.

I have the normal install, and did exactly what you did with the files. After restarting the client, I goto Scripted Campaigns, and only see the Autumn one. 

 

EDIT: Okay I fixed it. I was double stacking the campaign folder.

I have all of them and have completed all but 1. Most enjoyable. Very grateful for all those who created and shared them with everyone.

I only fly the Ivan's War campaign and it is very enjoybale indeed. One small suggestion: It happens very often that I cause bad damage to some enemy planes then return to the base, land down and the mission finishes automatically before the damaged enemies crash. So no kill is assigned to me and the mission fails. Could it be changed that I might wait on the runway until they crash and quit the mission after that manually?
