Hey gang,

In the controller setup menu - the keymapping section - I see there are two columns one can use for assigning joystick button mapping.

I currently have my Warthog joystick and throttle hooked up and mapped. All of the button mapping I have done is in that first available column.

I just received the VKB Gunfighter. I am waiting on the availabilty of the MCG Pro Grip really before starting to try using it full time, which will probably be another month or two away from what I understand.

But in the meantime, I was wondering if there is a way for me to go ahead and try out it to see how it feels with BoS, without losing all my button mapping for my Warthog joystick.

So out of curiosity, can one actually plug in a second joystick controller - in my case the Gunfighter joystick - and assign button mapping for it in that second column that is currently not being used in the key mapping setup menu? In essence, still retaining all my button mapping for the Warthog joystick so I still have that available to use?

And if that can be done, would  I just leave the Warthog joystick plugged in as well?

Maybe dumb question on my part - but thought might be worth a shot to just see how this joystick feels prior to getting the grip I will need for it before moving to it on a more permanent basis - assuming I end up liking it better that is.

Thanks for any tips,

I have a Warthog joystick and I also have a Logitech joystick plugged in. I butchered the Logitech joystick to make a custom panel. I have the z axis set up with a 20 turn pot to make a trim wheel and the rest are just button/switches.

Great then, I take it by that I can do it as I mentioned.

I will have to add the Gunfighter here soon and see how it feels to fly with it. The stock grip does not have all the buttons I would need especially with flying in VR, but at least I can get a taste of the feel of it.

Thanks,

For buttons are no problem, since each command accept 3 different input source, think that for axis too.

But if are is few axes to remap.

Anyway Bo'X has relatively few commands, know what to do map all in less 10 minutes.

Make a copy of input folder, just for case or PEBKAC.

yeah can plug in multiple controllers without much issues.

I have X55 joystick and throttle connected.
Then also Logitech Racing wheel and pedals connected for rudder pedals and ground steering for tanks.
