NETSCAPE Posted May 8, 2017 Posted May 8, 2017 Do you guys just set AA up with unlimited ammo? Is there any tables or does anyone know how much ammo is allocated to each type of AA unit? (if limit ammo is ticked) I might just set stuff to not limit ammo. But I'm curious.
TP_Silk Posted May 8, 2017 Posted May 8, 2017 For me it depends on the purpose of the AAA. If I want to create a mission whereby it is absolutely deadly for aircraft to enter certain airspace at any time then I won't limit ammo. Most of the time, however, I just leave it as limited and use activate/deactivate commands as this would more accurately portray the amount of cover these batteries could provide. To answer your second question, I am not aware of any tables listing how much ammo is available to each AAA type/unit.

TP_Silk Posted May 8, 2017 Posted May 8, 2017 Then I would consider how long the player or other units are meant to stay within the area of influence of the AAA units. I would suspect that it wouldn't typically be long enough for it to matter much whether they are ammo-limited or not,
Jade_Monkey Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 I'd be shocked if a AAA gun runs out of ammo in 99% of the cases. Perhaps in an area that will see a lot of enemies for extended periods of time like a target in the middle of the map.
