Server stats at:  KG200.NET:8000

 

 Hello gents, a new set of missions is loaded in KG-200s server.

 

  Each side has only two targets from a pool of four on each mission. Every target has to be bombed 4 times to be eliminated.

 

A health bar next to the target shows its condition at any moment (pic1), with each strike the bar lowers.

 

If the bar is depleted then the target is eliminated.

 

After a successful attack the target will go in a 5 min repair state, you can still hit remaining assets for points but they don't lower the targets health bar.

 Targets can be resupplied by paratroopers by 25% each time. You need at least 20 of them landed for a successful target supply.

Opposing team can shoot paratroopers while on air to stop the supply.

 

For a mission to be won both enemy targets must be destroyed, if so, you will have 10 minutes before next mission loads.

 

 Airfields can be attacked, but they don't count as a mission target and they can not be closed, BUT, if you destroy at least 15 parked planes a ground force of artillery will attack the AF for some time.

 

The defenders can search and destroy this artillery located somewhere near their airfield.

 

The types of targets are these:

 

City

 

City target.

Very heavy low alt AAA cover, suitable for carpet bombing.

(Targets are positioned inside an actual map city but the houses have been removed,

you can use the map to navigate and align the target more easily.)

 

Artillery

Normal AAA cover, suitable for all kinds of attack. Main targets buildings and artillery guns.

 

Factory

Normal AAA cover, suitable for all kinds of attack. Main targets are the vehicles scattered in the factory area.

 

Depot

For now all planes and weapons are available.

All these can change according to what pilots like from the server.

 

That is a beta run. We wait for you suggestions, ideas or bug reports.

Nice server, thx. Did some flying, smooth and working fine. Searched a while with the Il-2, but wasn't able to find the OKL-amour, but that might have been my blindness low on deck.

I made them run in circle around the marked on map position about (1km), since they respawn they can't follow formation orders which means they ll be scattered but still fairly close to each other, they move in paralel lines because apart for no orders to respawnable tanks they drivers are also drunk so they don't do evasive maneuvers when something blocks their way.

Really enjoyed your server last month with the AI fighters. Please consider adding AI fighters back in if performance allows. :salute:

Hello gents,

Our new COOP mission is going live tonight at CET 21:00 for beta testing so people are invited to join.
The idea is to do a coop mission like the ones that we use to fly in IL2-1946 (Bellum of VEF style for the old guys like me). Which means that there is only one target to attack and one to defend for each side. The pilots are 8 for each side which means, good coordination, communication and planing for a team to be successful.
The server runs all day but the mission starts ONLY when 6 pilots spawn for each side in their respected LOBBY area, and up to the total of 8 for each side. There is no auto balance but an in sim system that does not allow more than 8 pilots per side.
So after joining just spawn in lobby airfield and wait for mission start message, after this you ll see borders, targets and airports that you can takeoff to appear.
The mission can end only in two ways after it starts: A timer will end it after 2 hours or one of the two sides destroys all 3 targets of the enemy. Pilots can leave or join the server while the mission runs.
Every time you destroy your respected target the borders and airfields will shift to your advantage. Airfields can't go out of action but there is a “surprise land attack” that can take place in one of the enemy airfields as harassment. This attack can start if you land two groups of paratroopers in the marked drop zone.

Side notes, unfortunately we lack a programmer in order to implement one or two things needed in order for this idea to work nicely. If anyone is up to the task feel free to communicate here, e.g. badly need a timer in stats page to show remaining time of mission and extra bonus points for the winner of a mission.
Everything so far is done with the restrictions of FMB. We are expecting ideas and suggestions to do it even better.

The bugs found so far and corrected: AAA not re-spawning, status reporting captured even if landed in friendly territory.

Hi guys!

 

Im first time here at forum, and I just wanna to tell you that the one of two missions on server have a problem. Mission when German airports is on north side of map, you cant spawn at all. When u press start, you spawn as invincible or you spawn under ground.

 

Appeal from Zeda, Manny, AlcoHoly
, Sperou and me to bring AIs back on server, please.

Thank you mate, did not have time to test, it is fixed now, from Monday when I return I will try to make them with AI and when players join they will be removed.

the only thing guys is that you have to tolerate bugs here and there because I am completely alone and its extremely time consuming to check every aspect of the mission :(

And now I checked out the Stats in Leonids' site, and I must say, that is just grand - all the detail can be checked there!

Yes there are, they defend some of the targets upon enemy presence. If human defenders are detected the AIs disappear.

Nice server, thank you.

 

Flown there a couple if times and other KG4 members also enjoy the server.  We flew a 3 ship sortie last night and had an enjoyable couple of hours.

Flying in the KG200 server often recently, I must say it is a great place for newbies and for veterans, to learn, or to spend some nice time.

It is not as stressfull as those servers, where you find plenty of aces, and which are often like a pool of Piranhas.

 

In KG200 you can exercise dogfighting and shooting against AI. But it is not as safe as flying against AI only.

You can meet human players here and there, and that makes it more thrilling for me!

Of course you can always see how many players are in there, and on which sides (press Alt and TAB).

 

The maps are well made; the tasks are possible to achieve, but not all are easy.

Destroying a train is less dangerous than destroying a WAREHOUSE, which is shielded by fighters.

So you find a good mix of offers here.

I like being in KG200 - thx again to all, who made it!

I can really agree with Wolfram, the server is a nice place to be. We had wonderful fun and people are really nice.

The only Bug we discovered until now is that Krasnodar Airfield is under constant attack, i. e. that red flares are being fired and ai patrol is up and the siren is going, but actually nobody is attacking the airfield.

 

but its not a crfitical bug.

Forgot to update,

 

There are 4 targets for each team:

 

A tank group.

An industrial complex.

A city to be bombed.

An airfield.

 

They must be destroyed one after the other and the next one appears after the last one is destroyed. Borders change if a sector is conquered.

 

The team that destroys them all first is the winner.

 

It’s your choice to decide if it is more important to attack or defend.

 

A forward AF appears if you conquer some sectors. It can be put out for some time if you destroy the vehicles guarding it.

 

AIs patrol the targets.

 

The targets are hard to kill so team work is needed.

P.S. The idea is to concentrate pilots in specific areas either to attack or defend, like the old IL2 type of online wars, which I hope we will see again with the upcoming coop missions.

 

P.P.S. I have this info in the missions brief :)

In the recent map I only see one target, Volker - a tank group. The others don't show for me.

Ahoy all, I have been trying to fly on his server for the last two nights, I really like the set up. However, every time I get near a target and AI planes appear I get thown out back to the main menu. I have been the only player on the server at the time so there was no one to ask if a message came up saying what happened. Please let me know if you know what is happening.

Hello mate, I restarted the Server in case of some weird problem. Most probably (but not for sure) your ping was too high, I raised the limit now, if it was that you wont have a problem now.

 

In your stats seems like a disconnection but still with the instability of Dediserver you never know:
