Multiplayer Mission Ends as soon as it Starts

Problem:

I turn on my server, connect to my server (hosted on same machine, but use player account) , I load a multiplayer mission I created and as soon as I choose my plane and click start, the mission ends and says the next mission will begin in so many seconds.

Why is my multiplayer mission ending without me actually starting it?

I am attaching the .msnbin file so you can open the file and audit the mission. I appreciate any additional feedback, should you notice anything.

Thanks for helping me out!

I checked out the mission it it worked fine.

Did you set a high enough Round Time in the server settings? It is set in seconds  f.g.: "tdmRoundTime = 9720"  in the .sds file.

This is what I see: tdmRoundTime=-1 // (=1800 in Norm and Expert) Team Deathmatch max round length in seconds, -1 - no round time limit

Do you have two separate installs of the game, i.e. one for the DServer and one for playing as a client?

Which plane did you spawn in?

Yes, and I spawned into the first 109.

But I can never enter the mission.

I changed my line to: tdmRoundTime=9720 // (=1800 in Norm and Expert) Team Deathmatch max round length in seconds, -1 - no round time limit

I am using custom difficulty settings.

Still have the same problem.

The server is live now, "JG 54"

I get "Can't establish the connection" when I try to join.

I host it on Marta's test server pw: 5656

Copy, I'll be right there.

And thank you

So, it is setup related. I have no idea what it could be though.

What settings did you use?

Do you use your external IP in your sds?

It works!

THANK YOU!

It is apparent I did not have a setting in the Manage SDS setup configured. I'm not sure what setting, but by following yours, it worked for me.

Thank you very much.

I have given you a +1 rep point too. The community succeeds because of people like you being kind enough to give time to those of us who are trying to learn.

On behalf of JG 54, thank you.

Also a graphics interface to manipulate your .sds files so you don't need to mess with text int it. Even if the mission is running you change it but for changes to take effect you must reload it. Just press on file>manage sds chose the one you want to load and all the prions are there :)

Ok so all is not quite well.

Highwayman cant get his ports open to host.

I can, and I have hosted other pilots into the stock missions from my dserver install.

However, when I try to run this mission I ge tthe Error, can not load mission warning and of course it all comes to a screeching halt.

is there any reason that I could not host the mission that he can from my PC?

Mission files placed in D:\IL-2 Sturmovik DSERVR\data\Multiplayer\Dogfight

Inside of dogfight are the 9 or so mission and language files as well as the SDS's created in manage SDS

If you are sure that you can start other missions from this path then open the eagle one in FMB and check if it saved as as Deathmatch one for starters.

In addition to the tip that KG200_Volker gave above, open the .list file for the mission in a text editor and check the directory path given in the "filename" statements. The mission must be located in the path given in the .list file.
