FZG_Merlin Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 I have the oculus rift and a 1080ti and I am unable to run Il2 BOS/BOM in VR I have selected the option in the graphic settings but even after a restart i get nothing in my oculus rift and the image on my monitor is normal 2D.. Anyone knows why ? how do you activate VR ? (yes, my game is up to date) thanks a lot for your help ! ps: all graphic maxed out, I get in between 135 and 450 fps in game in 2D ! A MA ZING
=EXPEND=Tripwire Posted May 5, 2017 Posted May 5, 2017 Do you have Steam and SteamVR installed and running. Its a requirement for VR in IL2 BoX, even if you don't have the game itself in steam.
TP_Silk Posted May 5, 2017 Posted May 5, 2017 Even if you don't have the Steam version of BoX you can still use the Steam management program and get it to list non-steam games so that they are available for VR. I'm not in front of my games PC just now, but if I remember correctly you launch Steam and then go to Libraries (or something like that) and in the options you will have a chance to add any program on your computer.
FZG_Merlin Posted May 5, 2017 Author Posted May 5, 2017 thank you gentlemen.. installing Steam VR did it. then i simply had to find a way to get rid of the chaperone blue line. After that, it was ABSOLUTELY awesome. everything maxed out on ultra, and I was at about 90FPS in combat with 12 airplanes around ! Amazing 1
TCW_Brzi_Joe Posted December 13, 2019 Posted December 13, 2019 Install steam first, and login. Then in steam search for app/games, and write "steam vr". Find it, and install. Later, you start steam first, and on top right side should be small box with VR - click there to start steam vr.
