Hey gang,

Ok so a dumb question on my part. I remember early on in the early access days of BoS, I could select whether to drop my two bombs in singular or in pairs. Same for rockets if I recall correctly.

I am currently flying the Stalingrad campaign, and I have assigned both bomb mode and rocket mode to a button on my Warthog throttle. However it seems no matter how I set the thing, my bombs always drop both and rockets always fire in pairs.

I thought I must be missing something very simple, and probably am, but figured with enough time I woudl figure it out. I am well into Part 2 of the campaign now and dang I just can not seem to come to grips with this.

What am I missing here? Don't know if it makes a difference but am currentl flying in Normal Realism...

Thanks for any tips,

Which plane? The Yak-1s can only drop both of their bombs at the same time.

Rockets can be fired as singles though. (at least)

Is that the only option?  Can they be fired in pairs as well?  And is that historically accurate?

Genuine question because I'm assuming if there was no selector for bombs, I don't see there being a selector for rockets.

Pairs as well. left Win + R should toggle for rockets and left Win + B for bombs iirc.

Pretty much all Soviet planes that could launch rockets had a control panel that determined how many would be launched with each press of the button. It was just that, in the Yak-1, they were fitted with a simple lever to release both bombs at the same time.

Also, the bomb and rocket control panels will show what launch/release mode the weapon system is in, wherever relevant/appropriate.

Yes, just tried it out in my Yak-1 in the BoS campaign and for rockets it does indeed allow this.

Thanks,
