Icons any way to adjust them and get rid of the brackets.

Hi guys new to BOS, BOM & BOK after getting it for VR, played a lot of IL2 in its day so not entirely new to the franchise.

 

Using the Vive I have enable Icons to help with AC id from a a distance but tend to turn it off when in close as its not needed, in single player I have a big bracketed box around I think what may be the lead AC, is there any way to get rid of the brackets and just keep the normal Icons as its off putting and seems totally unneeded, also is there any way to edit an icon file like in DCS so you can just have coloured dots without all the other information, its seems that this would really suit this game to be able to set it up this way.

I have been asking for custom icons from day one to no avail. All that ends up happening is a load of hardcore people come a troll me saying just play with no icons......

Yes indeed, the more options we have the more we can tailor things so that more people will want to play, and buy, the sim.

 

Customization of Icons is a much needed function.

Ditto. For me, modding and customisation is key.

 

But AFAIK the devs do plan to open up the files for us after Kuban (i think)

Thanks guys I thought this might be the case, on a normal monitor Im happy iconless but happy if people want to use them, in VR it has its place, if we could edit them it would make IL2 BOS, BOM the best VR flightsim so far, lets hope they do it one day.
