T.16000M FCS

Hi,

 

Does anyone knows how to setup properly the T.16000M FCS (Joystick + Thruster) on IL-2 ?

 

Or does anyone have a T.A.R.G.E.T. script / preset for it?

Depends on what you want each button do, or if prefer that joystick buttons send commands and not that "press joystick buttons to press keyboard keys to send commands for games" that is TARGET e Cia.

 

I prefer that joy buttons send commands and not keystrokes.

 

Then came the individual preferences, if the user has headtrack (TreackIR, Freetracks...) or not.

 

For me the grip is for control:

 

Primary weapons - MG and cannons.

Secondary weapons - rockets bombs I use the same buttons for above, but using a modifier to act as "safety cover" and avoid "lost" ammo.  But a guy that play with unlimited ammo will prefer "rapid fire".

And camera control (I am headtrack allergic), plus zoom.

 

Things like landing gear, canopy, bail out... I never assign in joystick buttons - but some people use for this.

 

Then are the fact that half of T.16000M buttons in base are in "wrong side", making then difficult for use.

 

Advantage of use TARGET is the possibility to create controls profiles specific for each plane, or plane type, since the game controls don't allow this, or "cheater" like aileron, rudder trim for e.g. BF 109... but is a "gadget" more (together with TS, VGA overly, STEAM overly, AV's...) running in games background.

I have mine set up preliminarily. I did Not use TARGET.

 

I'm still tinkering with it.

I see that you use the joystick slider for throttle, why not use the TWCS throttle slider itself for that?

Actually, no.. I used the TWCS throttle. Sorry, the joystick box listing should be blank.

does the t.16000fcs have preset, and how do you up load to your computer... Or do you do it yourself ... thank for reading ....

In game options are not 'preset' for T.16000M (or other stick like in WT options).

 

In Thurustmaster page are one for "il2 stalingrad" to be used through TARGET.

The most wise (IMO) is set axes and buttons direct in game 'Key mapping' options, in the way you find appropriated - and not in the way that someone else find, case use 3rd part 'profiles'.

Totally agree, it's a far better idea than someone else's preset(s) because you know exactly what you're doing if you do it yourself and don't have to 'learn' the settings. I've got the Stick and throttle and there are by FAR enough buttons to cover just about everything you need.
