DXGI.DLL error. "Not designed to run on Windows"

Woke up this morning to find my usually-functioning game failing to start and displaying this:

dxgi.dll%20error_zpsh5y0usmn.jpg

I'm not using VR and have a 660Ti, not one of those newer cards that have been giving people trouble.

Has anyone else experienced this?

DXGI.DLL is part of Reshade or SweetFX or any post shader injector.

the reason it might not be working is GTX660Ti is not a "TRUE" DX11 Card

Uninstall re-shade/sweetfx.

Ah that fixed it thanks!  I removed Reshade and reinstalled it and it works again.  :salute:

I'm posting here because this might be relevant to others, and doesn't really deserve another topic page.

After installing Reshade to BOS, the game continually crashed.  I mean "boom" - launcher crash just an instant after clicking start.  The final message in the dxgi log related to "Redirecting D3D11CreateDeviceAndSwapChain."  After that line, there was nothing.

After digging around (a lot), I found on another gaming website that, if a game fails to load, change the name of the "dxgi" .dll file in the root folder to "d3d11"

Following the name change to "d3d11", the game loaded fine and Reshade works.

Cheers!
