Can we get some VR videos?

Whilst I do not own a VR headset, I do have one of those cheap $10 things that lets you strap a smartphone in front of your eyes. Would it be possible for someone to make some IL2 videos in VR of this?

Well i did a great mission, recorded it and rendered it. Hours later i fond i had my fps setting at 30 so its not worth uploading.

 

But ill do one tomorrow unless this other poster sates your thirst!

 

Let me know. Its a three hr job minimum from start to finish if all goes well!

That 30 fps shouldn't be a problem it was only keeping you frames high.

BoX mirrors only one eye to a monitor so it's not possible to capture a gameplay in stereoscopic mode. It looks like this:

I know this isn't the sterioscopic experience you wanted but I did record  a stuka bombing mission on Wings of Liberty Server. Managed to evade an enemy contact by losing him in the clouds (Nearly shat my pants) and taking out the target with a single 1000 kg bomb.

I think this was more luck than judgement though, as I'm finding it quite difficult to replicate that initial success.

if you turn on mirror left and right it should record both eyes? no? getting the VR 3d to record. shadow play or OBS or XSPLIT?

Thanks, but the resolution is bad (on my full hd phone). Also it will look better in daylight.

Resolution is low due to steamvr mirror. I dont think it can be altered.

I just happen to notice, the iron sight on the left aligns with your left eye when you align the gun sight with your right eye!! Attention to detail is amazing!

I found when watching Elite dangerous vids via my cardboard it *still* didnt give the same impression as true VR.

 

In True VR you *know* where everything is in relation to you, For eg, even now, typing this, I know how far my windscreen on my Yak is away from me from my memory of being in VR. It's hard to describe

 

Oh, I dont have my cardboard any more so let me know if the 3d is working etc.

 

I'll prob have a daytime one up tomorrow and ill see if I can increase the quality.

yeah, i just tested this on my LG3 and you're right, it only wants to go up to 720. how odd?

I see that I can go to settings for any video and choose "View in cardboard" and it splits it like you guys ae doing. Is there a difference?
