I just wanted to express, I do hope eventually when all the dust settles the developers will consider adding native support for the Oculus Rift runtime. Obviously currently we have to use the Steam VR API as a wrapper to run through the Oculus software to get our VR experience in BoS.

While performance is indeed surprisingly very good, I can imagine what it would be like for Rift users running natively without that extra wrapper.

Plus it would have the benefit of more exposure to Rift users - right or wrong, there are certainly Rift users out there that will not try the sim out in VR due to the requirement to use Steam VR, they just perceive it as an extra layer that do not care to have.

Also perhaps with native support, perhaps the devs could get the sim listed in the Oculus Store as well ,giving it even more exposure and help in increasing the customer base.

Anyway I know they have a lot of their plate with the work on Kuban and I am so very grateful that we do have VR now, so don't want to take away from that as I am enjoying the heck out of it. But I would love to see down the road this native support added at some point as well.

Let's hope that the interest in the VR support for this game grows to a point that it warrants further resources and with it more refinement and native support.  I am still awe struck by how good VR is in this game when I fly through clouds at dawn. :salute:

Yeah you and me both.

I certainly do not want to give the impression that the current VR implementation for Rift users is lacking in any way, it truly is incredible!

I have logged over 16 hours in BoS since VR release and can not get enough it seems, loving every minute!

I too would love it to hit the Oculus store, simply to show it to those not aware.
