Hello there

As per the title, Im looking for a server that

a) tolerates beginner pilots

AND

b) is VR friendly.

Does such a thing exist? I like a challenge but it does become frustrating if one is constantly beaten down by  Flt Lt ***L33tN00BKillz0r*** players wanting to upgrade their KD ratio.

Any thoughts?

I don't have any helpful thoughts, but I share the same sentiment. :) I have only just got my pilot's licence. That's why I'd like to be able to play on or host a server that allows coop against AI. I've seen the aces on YouTube.  :o:

It's not always up, because I'm developing a dynamic campaign system, and I take it offline while adding new features or when it's broken.

But when it's up, it has icons on. Other settings are expert though, notably engine management. For instance, you'll need to properly warm up your engine after start up.

I'm in the process of adding AI flights, but for now it's all about ground attack and level bombing. Ferrying planes to advanced airfields is also a thing, if you prefer safer flights.

VR is the best for immersion, but today I totally blew on Wings of Liberty server, also I am new to IL2, and because of VR I shot to friendly planes, understand the people try to ban me, but have no idea how to identify friend or foe, it is very hard.

IL2 Australia has reduced cloud and has summer only maps to help with VR performance. Its pretty quiet overall so if you're just trying to get used to the basics its probably overall pretty safe. Can't garauntee though that someone wont get online and come hunting you.. .tis the nature of most online servers.

I'll jump on sometime if I may, I need to learn engine management
