Sketch Posted April 24, 2017 Posted April 24, 2017 What settings are needed to create fog on the ground? I've seen it in some missions and would like to recreate it. Thanks in advance.

Sketch Posted April 24, 2017 Author Posted April 24, 2017 Set a Thin Overcast cloud layer with an Altitude 0-10m or 0-50m This works okay, but doesn't clear the fog as the sun starts to rise (like in real life). Any suggestions?
Sketch Posted April 24, 2017 Author Posted April 24, 2017 (edited) There's no dynamic/changing weather conditions. No the fog adjust as time passes. I figured it out... You need to select cloud cover that is an odd number and need to be in the summer timeframe to create fog. The fog will clear around 7am-8am. Here's what it looks like: In the editor manual it's kind of confusing... It states on page 205 - "The last number represents the amount of high-level cirrus (wispy) clouds in the sky (higher number = more cloud). If the number is odd, morning and evening ground fog is present and can be seen from the air." As I understood it, I was adjusting the level and height to odd numbers; not understanding that the height and level only adjusted how thick the cloud was. Edited April 24, 2017 by [TWB]Sketch 3
NETSCAPE Posted April 26, 2017 Posted April 26, 2017 yes TIME setting dictates this as well as the cloud setting. Set to early morning before sun has time to burn off fog :D then go through all the different cloud settings...you will notice about half of them enable fog. Pretty cool. What is annoying me is every time you set a new cloud type it reverts the cloud level/height to a default...

Sketch, Does this make more sense?: "The last number in the "Cloud" value represents the amount of high-level cirrus (wispy) clouds in the sky (higher number = more cloud). If the last number is odd, morning and evening ground fog is present and can be seen from the air." I'll add your observations re. summer timeframe and the time that the fog clears to the next version of the manual. Thanks! Edited April 26, 2017 by JimTM 1
