Li-2 / C-47 as a Collector Plane

Hello,

 

I am just putting forward an idea for the dev team and community. The Germans have the Ju52 as a collector/stand alone aircraft, I purpose the Li-2 for the Russians. My reasons are as below:- Wiki Link here- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lisunov_Li-2

 

1-It was available to the Russians prior to the war and present on the Eastern front from the 1941 invasion.

 

2- It was made under licence from Douglas as it was a C-47.

 

3- It has a interesting expansive history for eg it was used to move and supply partisans which presents a whole new side to Campaign builders and cinematic video makers like myself.

 

4- As it is essentially a C-47 it can be used in future with the Pacific and European theatres.

 

5- It was a Multi-role aircraft, some had bomb racks, 7.62 and 12.7 MGs, Capable of delivering Paratroopers and cargo including air delivered supply.

 

6- 'Providence' or Significance' It was in service during the War with a huge number of nations(quick ref to wiki) which from a business stand point makes it a potentially

great selling aircraft in addition to being able to be used in all titles thus far BOS,BOM,BOK and the future Pacific theatre keeping it relievant from a market stand point for years to come. (admittedly I have no sales or marketing back ground)
