A lot of the footage seems to suggest they where flying without the front MG, but like at 7:44 had a singe 20mm or mg mounted fixed in the upper window of the bomb aiming bubble... that would make an interesting weapon mod for BoS, don´t you guys think?

Finnish Ju's were A4/R, so they got more powerful engines than standard A4 plus that 20mm MG-FF fixed on nose. And yes front window mg's were removed here because they just restricted front view too much.

 

A4/R would be very nice addition to BoX, or at least possibility to remove front mg. In CoD this is possible.

I think the better view without the mg is a very understandable reason.. with the new BoS technology that alows for engine mods like in the La5, a finish 88 would be very much doable. I would think it might be worth campaigning for, as that would really be a great mod.

I totally agree with that. Also Stuvi would be great for dive bombing.

Very nice film, thx for the head-up! Good quality and an astonishing wide formation at one part - back to home-base deep in Finland? Has there been made an "official" suggestion to remove the front-mg? And to significantly enlarge the freedom of movement for the bombardier, like it is done in the He-111?

If i remember correctly it is only possible in multiplayer and there is setting to it in armament setup.

Do you mean in BoX? I don't know as i'm one of the "VR returnees" after long pause

Just de-select that MG in the pre-flight settings, same is possible for the (more or less) useless MG to the side at the He-111

I would love a Ju-88 A17 (torpedobomber) for BoK, this variant evolved from the A4; so I'd guess the differences between the variants wouldn't be that great, but I know too little too judge. It was used around the crimean penninsula to hit russian shipping, which in my eyes would justify it's appearance in a BoK planeset. I think it's sad, that there won't be any air dropped torpedos in the initial release of BoK, especially, since they use it as a stepping stone to the PTO!? Sad!
