Hello combat sim prop pilots,

 

I have finally bought into the 777 IL2 (BOS). Brilliant. I love it.

 

I never had the luxury of TrackIR, but have treated myself to a VR Rift and now I am back in WW2 props. My favorite place.

 

You've heard it before, VR IL2 is fantastic; it's true. I sold something dear to me to get this VR set. It was worth it.

 

Here's a little detail I noticed. I love the way that when the engine is stopped and the prop slows to almost a stop, but then it arrives inside the final piston compression cycle and has not enough juice to break through and the prop gives a little wobble as it bounces back and fourth inside that that last cycle. Never seen that in a sim. Unsure if it is all planes, I saw it on a Lagg5, I think.

 

I have no questions yet. That's amazing too.

I see you've been registered for a long time. I guess I'm not sure if your comment "finally bought into the 777 IL2 (BOS)" means you just purchased it or are just now seeing the positive aspects of the sim? Either way, it's good you're here and I hope you'll continue to add comments as above. *

Welcome aboard! IL-2 is doing a great job of being the next gen WWII sim and its come into its own very recently... Glad to see more people jumping onboard because of the VR stuff but staying because its just great overall.

DON'T DO IT !!!!

 

Do not sell your body, or body parts . DO NOT sell you children. DO NOT put your mother or sister out to work, walking the streets (not sure about mother in law, that might be fine although the wife might cause you grief. You can always reply "but, if you LOVED me" that's always a good opener although if you find yourself out on the street, with a black eye, don't say I didn't warn you.

I have been watching closely and have been aware of the positive aspects of this sim since I registered, but I did not purchase it. I had children and bought a MIG welder instead lol. I bought BOS about 3 days ago. I suppose I've had some time out from combat simming, for the most part, though I spent some time with TF.Clod and in recent months flying a DCS helicopter.
